1. INTRODUCTION

Many research papers are rejected not because the research itself is flawed, but because of how it is written. [1] Common issues include unclear writing, incomplete reporting, poorly presented results, and failure to follow journal guidelines. [1] These problems make it difficult for reviewers to properly evaluate a study, and they can undermine even strong research designs and findings. [1] When researchers write clearly and follow the reporting standards, they can communicate their findings better and increase their chances of getting published. [3]

2. Common Mistakes That Lead to Manuscript Rejection

Researchers make several common mistakes when writing their research papers. One major issue is an unclear research objective, which makes it difficult for reviewers to understand the purpose and significance of the study. [1] Other frequent mistakes include poor organization, incomplete reporting of methods or results, unsupported conclusions, and failure to follow the journal’s instructions. [1] Weak abstracts, inconsistent terminology, missing references, and poorly designed tables or figures can further affect the quality of the paper. [2] In addition, unclear language and an illogical flow of ideas can make it difficult for readers to understand the study and its main findings. Such issues can make the research appear less credible, even when the methodology itself is strong. [1]

By improving their writing skills, adhering to journal requirements, and carefully reviewing their manuscripts before submission, researchers can communicate their findings more effectively and increase their chances of publication. Consistent practice and attention to detail remain essential for producing high-quality research papers.
